AR Rahman who had won two Academy Awards in 2009 for Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire for Best Original Score and Best Original Song Jai Ho featured in the name of Oscar contenders for his work in Pele: Birth of a Legend this year too.
But, sadly, his name did not feature in the final nomination list that was announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The nomination list for original score includes Jackie, La La Land, Lion, Moonlight and Passengers. The Oscars will be awarded on February 26.
