His movie Jil Jung Juk is releasing the V day week
It is that time of the year again. The time which is enjoyed by couples and hated by single guys and girls. Yes, the dreaded Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. You will already be seeing heart shaped balloons, cupids and lovey-dovey decorations at almost every public place. Not to mention the various cheesy days leading up to the V day like hug day, chocolate day, teddy day… well, you get the picture.
As you can probably guess from my cynicism, a single guy has written this piece.
This week, which is all about love and couples, there is a Kollywood movie just for people like us, the Siddharth starrer Jil Jung Juk. If you follow the South film industry then you will be aware of this movie which has a unique, awesome trailer, super catchy songs and hilarious promotions. But the one fact that has got me excited to catch it in theaters is because this is the first time ever, that a movie will not have a heroine. Yup, you heard it right! Sid will not be seen romancing some lass who comes for a couple of songs and then vanishes altogether. Here is a movie that might just be entirely story centered and where romance is not forced down our throats. The director of this quirky dark comedy, Deeraj Vaidy even went on to say that the heroine in the movie is the script itself.
So while everyone I know will be busy watching Sanam Re and Fitoor, I will be catching this super awesome crime comedy. So guys and girls, if you are single and are not too happy about it, then Jil Jung Juk might just be your salvation.
